INTRODUCTION

The Forester Run will start from the same location as the 2009 event, at The Bluebell Railway Sheffield Park Station, A275 East Sussex TN22 3QL This is by kind permission of the Bluebell Railway. Our mid-way stop is at Bodiam Castle where there will be special parking provided for our cars at the Mill Pond. Tea or coffee and a slice of cake will be provided in the restaurant. Alternatively, you can bring your own picnic lunch and enjoy the views.

If you are National Trust Members, and would like to visit the castle, please bring your membership cards with you. will need to pay to enter. After lunch, you will then set off on the second stage of the run which will take you

back to North Chailey and into the grounds of St Peter & St James Hospice, where the popular Hog Roast will be provided, followed by prize-giving. If you want to take the opportunity to have a look around the engine sheds, don’t forget to allow time before your allocated start time. Please take care in the engine sheds and surrounding areas. Cars will depart at intervals from the top car park starting at 9.30a.m. To drive on an 80 mile (approx.) scenic route through Sussex and Kent.

After lunch, you will then set off on the second stage of the run which will take you back to North Chailey and into the grounds of St Peter & St James Hospice, where the popular Hog Roast will be provided, followed by prize-giving.
