The list of famous alumni is very lengthy, and includes the explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton, the writers Sir P G Wodehouse and Raymond Chandler, and comedian Bob Monkhouse, together with the winners of seven Victoria Crosses, two George Medals and one George Cross.

  • Route and Information pack provided with tulip-style directions.
  • Visit to Tenterden Railway Station, the headquarters of the Kent and East Sussex Railway situated in one of the most picturesque towns in Kent, once a ship building port when the surrounding marshes were under water. Trains both steam and electric now travel through the picturesque Rother Valley to Bodiam Castle. Tenterden station houses carriage and wagon workshops and you can visit Col. Stephens Museum established as a tribute to Holman Fred Stephens, formerly one of the country's leading railway engineers. Tea and Cake will be waiting for you at the station Tea Rooms after which you can either drive on, or treat yourself and travel on one of the beautifully restored carriages to Northiam Station. Here, for a small cost, you can enter a breath-taking world in miniature at The Mill House Museum which overlooks the station. The museum houses a unique collection of nostalgic pedalpowered toys superbly displayed in a lovingly restored former Mill. The collection is the south-east's newest visitor attraction and visitors of all ages will enjoy a trip down memory lane as exhibits date from as early as Victorian times!
  • Traditional finish point at Brighton's Madeira Drive reserved exclusively for us on the day.
  • Prize Giving for the Treasure Hunt competition, Furthest Distance and Car of the Run Award.
