Herstmonceux 2014

Posted on:08/06/2014

East Sussex Jaguar Day at Herstmonceux 1st June 2014.

The annual event was a great success once more. The weather was kind to us, the castle management were kind to us and it all went well.

Cars began to arrive at around 10.15 in the morning and by noon there were over 100 show cars on view from many JEC regions Including West Sussex, Kent. Hampshire and other regions with models ranging from the very rare to the most modern. Harwoods of Brighton provided 2 F type cars one Coupe and one Convertible. The Slinfold Concert Band entertained us with some very enjoyable music. The Castle provided a pair of horses and a carriage for rides around the grounds, add this all to the wonderful backdrop of the Castle and the observatory   (both open to view) along with the open Sussex country side it could not have been better.

We as a committee would like to thank the Castle staff the marshals and members for all of their hard work along with Harwood’s and our other regular club sponsors for making this event possible and most importantly a big thank you must go to David Harding, Gary Bodle, the exhibitors and viewing public.
