Neville Barker steps down as Club Chairman

Posted on:01/07/2016

Dear Fellow Jaguar Enthusiasts

At last years AGM I said that I would only stand as Chair for 1 more year, earlier this year I confirmed that decision. My intention was to serve through to the AGM in October, however, due to personal and work commitments over the next three months I have decided to bring this forward and am standing down with immediate effect.

I have been Chair for over 6 years, taking up the post as a newcomer to the Club without having served on the East Sussex Region previously, although having done so in Norfolk some years before. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in post, have met many people and built great and lasting friendships.

I fully intend to continue coming along to meetings whenever possible and will be supporting the region in whatever way I am able. I thank all of you for your support not only for the region but for me personally. and look forward as always to seeing you again.

As a Committee we asked David Harding if he would take up the position of Acting Chair, which he has agreed to. I know that David will be most effective in the post and hope you will support him and substantiate his appointment in due course. The Contact details for the region will remain the same Warm Regards Neville Barker
