ESJEC Battlefield Tours - ESJEC committee member and treasurer Peter Powderham has an extensive and long

running interest in First and Second World War history and as such conducts regular battlefield tours to Europe.

See website These are not run as a commercial entity, but rather as a `hobby’ business

which then has the benefit of being more relaxed and delivers as many trips during the year as would be enjoyable.

The proposal would be to cross by Eurotunnel and over a four day (three night) trip introduce members to the

history and significance of these amazing events. Any tour would consist of about 8 to 12 cars. Costs will be

calculated once we know the level of interest. If you would like to be included in this programme please email

Peter at and let him know, we look forward to hearing from you.

6th to 10th September - Eastbourne to Venice Charity Drive - Paul Chipp-Smith, a long standing member and
